As I am finishing up my first year of collegiate track I am looking for what I think is a greater challenge that any track race. The Marathon. I am a solid runner and have been for 7 years now and have actually placed in a Half-Marathon before (1 hr 26min 36sec). I know of at least one marathon neaby my hometown and plan on running it at the end of the summer and am going to try to run it as far under 3 hours as I can. I was wondering if any other runners who have ran a marathon or any coaches out there would have any suggestions for me as I train this summer. Suggestions about race strategy, hydration, and training tips are most appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I've just been given this assignment in physics to create a set of notes explaining the relationship of Millikan's Oil Drop experiment with magnetism. I know that the experiment was initially used to find the charge of an electron as well as its mass. I also know that the Oil Drop Experiment has a huge relationship to electrostatics. What I'm confused about is how it relates to magnetism. Can any of you possibly elaborate or clarify this with possible diagrams and equations and explanations?

Is it all Americans or just some? Why? Do you or would you have American friends? Have you really taken the time to get to know one?

I'm American, I now live in Australia and I regard the people here as some of the best I have ever met in my life.

As with everywhere there will be ignorant and arrogant people, trust me I have met a few here in Aus. too. But I am wondering why us (yanks) get all thrown into one lump.

Guess I am just trying to understand where all the dislike stems from!
