I personally believe both are not right but it seems legacy is somehow ok in the minds of many who are against affirmative action. Do not give me the BS that legacy is earned, because if your parents or sibling can put up a high HS record to get in why can't you is my thinking. When it comes down to admissions into college it should be about you and your record not your family, race or gender, but what you did and what you had to go through.

She said she has been knowing my husband for 2year now, since she was 16 now of course she is 18. She claim he was just someone to talk too. I ask if they ever had sex or even made out, He said no, but she did kiss him once. What do I do? We have been married 7 years, one son.

I just finished reading the book and I fell in love with it, I have seen the 2006 remake of the film and fell in love with it also. I must say my favorite character is "Mr. Darcy." So much mystery in him, yet he's so forward. Major contradiction, I know, but way way way back when that was romantic but I suppose today doing that will get the police called on you for being considered a stalker.

My least favorite character would have to be the mother. She's out there, but like she said having 5 daughters, what else would be on your mind other than them getting settled down and married.

I am looking for an extra income. I decided to look for work from home in the internet, I have found a lot offering work from home but I would like to know if this is not a scam. They are asking for a one time fee and I would like to join but I'm just scared to give my credit card details.

Your opinion is highly appreciated. Thank you....

Wisdom Behind Dietary Restrictions in Islam

Bob: Tell me why is it that a Muslim is very particular about the words Halaal and Haraam; what do they mean?

Yunus: That which is permissible is termed Halaal and that which is not permissible is termed Haraam and it is the Qur'an which draws the distinction between the two

Bob: Can you give me an example?

Yunus: Yes, Islam has prohibited consuming blood of any type. You will agree that a chemical analysis of blood shows that it contains an abundance of uric acid, a chemical substance which can be injurious to human health

Bob: You're right about the toxic nature of uric acid, in the human being it is excreted as a waste product and in fact we are told that 98% of
the body's uric acid is extracted from the blood by the kidneys and removed through urination

Yunus: Now I think that you'll appreciate the special prescribed method of animal slaughter in Islam.

Bob: What do you mean?

Yunus: You see, the wielder of the knife, whilst taking the name of the Almighty', makes an incision through the jugular veins, leaving all other veins and organs intact.

Bob: I see, this causes the death of the animal by a total loss of blood from the body, rather than an injury to any vital organ.

Yunus: Yes, were the organs, example the heart, the liver, or the brain crippled or damaged, the animal could die immediately and its blood would congeal in its veins and would eventually permeate the flesh. This implies that the animal flesh would be permeated and contaminated with uric acid and therefore very poisonous; only today did our dieticians realize such a thing

Bob: Again, while on the topic of food; why do Muslims condemn the eating of pork or ham or any foods related to pigs or swine.

Yunus: Actually, apart from the Qur'an prohibiting the consumption of pork, bacon (pig flesh); in fact the Bible too in Leviticus chapter 11, verse 8, regarding swine it says, "Of their flesh (of the swine another name for pig) shall you not eat, and of their carcass you shall not touch; they are unclean to you." Further, did you know that a pig cannot be slaughtered at the neck for it does not have a neck; that is according to its natural anatomy? A Muslim reasons that if the pig was to be slaughtered and fit for human consumption the Creator would have provided it with a neck. Nonetheless, all that aside, I am sure you are well informed about the harmful effects of the consumption of pork, in any form, be it pork chops, ham, bacon.

Bob: The medical science finds that there is a risk for various diseases as the pig is found to be a host for many parasites and potential diseases.

Yunus: Yes, even apart from that, as we talked about uric acid content in the blood, it is important to note that the pig's biochemistry excretes only 2% of its total uric acid content, the remaining 98% remains as an integral part of the body.

If you try and use Jesus and forgiveness of sins I will then say where is the proof he did that? If you then say the bible, I will say "where is the proof that something written down must be true? People write falsehoods all the time." If you say God forgives us our sins so we can go to heaven I will say "How do you know he has forgiven you? How do you know there is such a place as heaven?" It's all a guessing game. So, people say I need proof for why God does not exist but they refuse to offer any proving he does in the first place?

I took 3 hpt on my 5th late day, they all said neg. I have been extremely tired, moody (more so than I get with my period) strange sudden pains in my stomach that just come and go. I'm normally like clockwork so I'm a little concerned. I'm not really stressed out and I'm not very active and my eating habits haven't really changed so I can't figure out what's going on. Should I go to the doctor? My husband and I have been trying, but I figured it should show up on the test by now. If I go to the doctor what do I tell them when I make the appointment? I haveo find a new doc cause mine retired. I'm sure these are all silly sounding questions, but this is all new to me. I'm 21....please help!

When a couple get married do both parties have a reasonable expectation that there will a sexual relationship between them on a regular basis for many years to come? If one party starts refusing this part of the relationship does that give the party who wants to still have a sex life to look elsewhere? If not, dosen't it seem a little unfair that a spouse expects his/her partner to remain faithful but they won't be intimate with them.
