Or for that matter, why give a snake (though apparently one with legs) intimate knowledge of the nature of this fruit?...
Was the snake the being that was made MORE in God's image, and thus was allowed such things and was later punished?... I mean it seems that the serpent would at very least have to be special in that one would assume though it was "punished", and humans were punished, no other animals were, and they can't talk, so was the serpent the most favored of all of God's creations before he tried to help out the others?...
Obviously enough if the reason humans were able to make the "wrong choice" is free will, wouldn't the serpent need free will as well for an omniscient God not to be certain of his actions meaning it wasn't some special gift for man kind?
If we had already sinned in the garden, was there anything to keep our written accounts later on (which apparently had disappeared by the time of Abraham then re-appeared?) from slanting a bit in our favor?...
