Biblically or in Biblical times, Miracles were commonplace. During the early 19th or 20th centuries, there were a few. Nowadays, zip, nada. Not even a good Marian sighting. Is the world in trouble? Is the end near?

What is your definition of a miracle? Just waking up every morning is a miracle. Besides the small day-to-day miracles, I believe that God is doing large miracles also. You should also remember that in the Bible there was a 400 year silence of God between the Old and New Testaments. The Jews living in that time probably experienced the same feelings you are having. Also, I personally believe that if we, as a people, would turn back to God, we would see more "signs and wonders".

WHAT? You think that there are no miracles today? What do you take all these medical abilities and scientific happenings we see today, what are they if not miracles?

You also think that these fantastic miracles were commonplace in Biblical days? Not so. We just hear of the big ones in Bibles and other holy books. They weren't all that common in those days either. If they were ... they'd have no effect on people and their beliefs.

If a miracle happened today ..... who would believe it? No one.

I worked in the medical industry and was a volunteer firefighter for 4 years. In those places you see miracles everyday. People that should have died came away whole and healthy. I even experience one myself about 10 years ago. I should have died and was completely unhurt. I call all of the occurances quiet miracles. Friends and family may know they happened, but no one just goes and tells people. No one wants the media in their face or some rag of a newpaper twisting the story or making it seem like a farce. I suggest you look around you. I bet miracles happen often and you are just not seeing them. "Look to see and listen to hear"! Blessings, Diana

Lack of Faith. Many are being preformed in India and Africa. We are in the end of Days, the gentile race of people are seeking after the things of this world and ignoring the things which are above. If many today do not believe in God then when they die, is their life just waisted, never to be remembered? This is the answer; Jud 1:18-19; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Nah--my grade school nun explained that miracles were common when people were largely uneducated and gullible.

As the Information Age progresses, we only get waffles that look like the Virgin Mary-type 'miracles.'

You just haven't heard about them, I guess. There are many healings and miracles happening all over the world in the name of Jesus but there are many people out there who do not want people to know about them.

"Miracles" were created to explain events that defied logic. Now that people have greater education and access to resources (books), they can figure things out for themselves. The unexplained does not have as much mystique as it did hundreds of years ago, and that's why people do not attribute certain events as being miraculous.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic or miracles. We think these days and can understand why there are no miracles any more.

Modern miracles are usually explained in most cases scientifically as is the case of little green men and ufo s.
Miracles from yesteryear are like legends of olde...for the gullible to believe.
