A Messiah born to a Virgin? No one had ever suggested that the Hebrew books contained this idea, until those books were translated into Greek and suddenly it appeared like magic, since it was an idea not uncommon among Greek religions.

How can a Christian claim that a prophecy is contained in the Greek translation of the Bible, but not in the Hebrew (where it clearly does not exist)? Any good study Bible will mention this mistranslation in the notes and cross references.

And yet it is still treated as a central belief among all Christian faiths.

What explanation for this do Christians use?

We're ready to move our almost 3 year old out of the toddler bed (need it for our almost 2 year old) and cant decide to get him a twin or full bed. Or even go with bunk beds, and just not stack them yet. Use as two twin beds. We kind of want the full bed to read him books in sitting next to him, any thoughts?

parallel universe as for the above is logical . but Novikov mentioned about puting a billiard ball into a warmhole and travel into the past knocking itself in the past and therefore not creating any paradox.is this possible if at all we put a ball into a warmhole and travell back in time and hit the ball ( coz hiting is not logical but practical)?????

I am not ignorant,i would not say i was homophobic although i do not agree being gay is " normal "
I don't wish to upset anyone or cause offence with my question i just want other peoples views.
I recently discovered my brother is gay and i have gay friends and while it does not change how i feel about them,i just cannot accept that being gay is normal.
I'm a christian but do not go to church so it's not as if homophobia has been brainwashed into me,it is just how i feel.

If you have to be Christian to be saved, then what about all the good people before Jesus' time and before Christianity era? Did God just say "oops" and decide to save them just because? I'm not an atheist, but people who think that following their religion makes them "chosen" or "saved" are ridiculous.
