I just read an answer that "global warming was a sign of the times", and there was really nothing that we could do about it.

If this is the case, why do we interfere in anything? After all, around the end-times, the bible tells us that there will be wars and that lots of people will die.

That being said, why do we even fight a war on terror? If death and war is inevitable, why should we try to thwart the terrorists? Why don't we just let *god* handle everything, as he obviously has a plan? Why spend money and resources preventing terrorist attacks, because if we're meant to be the victim of something large-scale and nuclear, its going to happen anyway?

Obviously, I don't really feel this way. But I don't understand the logic. Why just accept that some things are in god's hands and then try to prevent others? And if christians support the war on terror, does this mean they aren't trusting enough in god?

S.S.I. cuts me off with out me knowing about it and never send any letters to let me know what was going on?

i had called my bank to make out my rent for this moth and found out s.s.i had not put my money in to my acct S.S.I. never send me any letters to say that i wasn't getting anymore money ,I have not move i been here in my apt for 6 yrs now and can't see why they never told me i would be cut off ..I can't pay my rent now for there is no money there .they know how to get a hold of me .and never did .i need to know what to do .for i have know help from anyone .I think S.S.I. should have send me something to let me know why they cut me off .But not one letter was send to me If i don't pay my rent i will be in the st and no were to go .How could S.S.I not tell me what was going on ? I think i have the right to know why i was cut off and why i have never got any letter's to tell me anything . can someone help ?

Can there be something wrong with my cat?

One of his pupils is average size for the condition of light he is under, but the other one is really small. I've noticed it a bit in the last couple of days but today it is OBVIOUS. The one that is smaller seems to get sort of big really fast but then it goes back to being small right away.

Is it strange to wish you'd never met someone?

I mean is it so cruel to wonder what it would have been like if you'd never met someone? But people shape us, don't they? If someone gives you a hard time you're obviously going to be stronger or weaker as an outcome.

How can I fit a 15mm copper pipe to a 15mm PVC pipe:?

I just bought a new shower and its a nightmare, it has a PVP pipe with no thread. The copper inlet has a thread but its fitted with a connection which means a compression elbow doesnt fit on it.
Should I use a simple copper elbow, use joint compound on the copper end and glue on the PVC end: Would this work without leaks.
I have bought plastic compression elbows and copper elbows with threads but none of them fit without leaks.
So without having to start cutting pipes, what can I do.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
