I just read an answer that "global warming was a sign of the times", and there was really nothing that we could do about it.
If this is the case, why do we interfere in anything? After all, around the end-times, the bible tells us that there will be wars and that lots of people will die.
That being said, why do we even fight a war on terror? If death and war is inevitable, why should we try to thwart the terrorists? Why don't we just let *god* handle everything, as he obviously has a plan? Why spend money and resources preventing terrorist attacks, because if we're meant to be the victim of something large-scale and nuclear, its going to happen anyway?
Obviously, I don't really feel this way. But I don't understand the logic. Why just accept that some things are in god's hands and then try to prevent others? And if christians support the war on terror, does this mean they aren't trusting enough in god?

Many Christians would rather fiddle with inane ideas of end times rather than do the work has called them to. After all, taking care of the orphans and widows is boring compared to a Frank Perretti novel.

Not quite... Jesus spoke of wars as a routine component of life which should NOT be considered as signs that his return is near. The passage most people refer to is NOT about the "second coming," BUT the DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM which occurred in 70 A.D.
Lk 21:8 Jesus replied, “Keep watch! Be careful that you are not fooled. Many will come in my name. They will claim, ‘I am he!’ And they will say, ‘The time is near!’ Do not follow them. 9 Do not be afraid when you hear about wars and about fighting against rulers. Those things must happen first. But the end will not come right away.”
...Lk 21:20 “A time is coming when you will see armies surround Jerusalem. Then you will know that it will soon be destroyed. 21 Those who are in Judea should then escape to the mountains. Those in the city should get out. Those in the country should not enter the city. 22 This is the time when God will punish Jerusalem. Everything will come true, just as it has been written.

The predictions in the Bible are very vague and subject to a lot of interpretation. Some of the interpretation is close to being right and a lot of it is pretty far off base. When something happens which sort of matches a prediction in the Bible, however vaguely is immediately held up as proof that this prediction has now come true and the next one is due any time.

Answer#1: The Bible says: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come" Luke 17:1. Wars are going to happen but woe to the one through whom they come.
Answer#2: In Matthew 13:24-28 we read: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed ears, then the weeds also appeared. The owners servants came to him and said, "Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?".
Jesus sowed good seed, but the Devil sowed the weeds among the wheat.
The weeds are are the "christians" of our time. They are not real Christians they use the name for their own goals. Therefore they support the wars and do all these bad things.
I hope this answered you question

Mankind can not stop God's will. If global warming is a result of God's actions, he would have told us so threw his prophets here on earth like he did in ancient times.
Jehovah always gave notice, a warning, to those who were going to feel his wrath.
Since global warming is not predicted in the bible, I don't think we puny humans can blame God for this.

OH, no, please, interfere, please.
Because, if I'm not mistaken, your interference will only hasten the day...
And I wouldn't mind a bit if He came back soon. I'm tired of all the hate in the world, and it's only getting worse. It's time for Him to come back.
So, what is He waiting for?
Well, He waited for me, I know, and I am so glad He did.
Maybe, like any good Daddy, he doesn't want to lock the door until He is sure all the kids are home.
Maybe He's waiting for that last kid to come stumbling in.
Maybe He is waiting for...
....
you.

We humans were created to be 'co-laborers' with God when it comes to things that happen on this planet. We are the 'sub-lords' of creation. If God didn't want us to participate in life then why do we even exist? This idea of 'Que Sera! Sera! Whatever will be, will be' as the old song goes - is a totally pagan, anti-scriptural idea. Man has been known to change God's mind -

How do you know that everything that has been, is and will be has all been totally predestine by God? Perhaps, sometimes God has watched us and the choices we've made and then made decisions Himself based on our choices to bring about His purposes.
God wants us to live - to be active with Him in bringing glory to His name. He wants us to participate with Him in the joys of life which include creating new things, solving problems, having emotional intimacy with Him and others and contributing to this gift of life. He wants to live His life through us - to flow through us in many wonderful, different ways!
This idea of "Why do anything?" is depressing and contradicts life itself! We matter and what we do matters! Especially in God's eyes!

Jesus said "pray in this way..."Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
The Kingdom of God will come, exactly as the Bible says; yet God uses the instrument of believing prayer to accomplish His will.
