I have wished that I hadn't met a few people in my life, but how many people have to have thought so for it to not be strange?
I've also considered what impact these people had on my life and my development. As much crap as I went through because of them, I don't think I would have grown out of the funks I was in before meeting them if I had never met them. Life sucked even more after meeting them, and isn't all too great just yet, but I still think it's better than before I met them.
I think those particular people made me weaker, but once I realized what they were doing and the effects people had on me, I got stronger than before.

no its not really all that strange. after feeling tht you've been used repeatedly by friends or they take advantage of you, then its normal to wish you had never met them. it happens with bad realtionships as well because once it is all said and done you realize that if you had never met this person in the ifrst place then none of these bad times or heartache would have occurred.
however, you can also view it as a blessing in a way because if you hadn't been through all of the using and heartache, then you wouldn't be where you are today either. things like that help you grow and learn and help make you who you are, so you want to have both the good and the bad.

No, it's not strange at all. It is true that people and circumstances shape us. Every little thing that happens to us and every person we meet. It all has an influence on us even if we're not fully aware of it and even if it's extremely subtle. So I find it natural to look at the way your life is at the moment and wonder what it could have been like in the absence of certain elements or people.

No, it's not wrong or strange at all. I totally agree with you, but the people we meet in our lives is for a reason and once you meet them there is nothing you can do to change it. When people do us wrong of course we wish we never knew them, but you have to take that experience as a learning experience and hopefully it will make you stronger.

Not strange at all. But, in my case, I wish I had been stronger in order to stand stronger for the values I knew were right, but somehow traded away for the events of the moment. I guess, in the end, if I had been stronger, the "meeting" wouldn't have been so impactful. God Bless you.

Well, you shouldn't wish you never met them really. Whether you know it or not, you learn something from everyone. Well, almost everyone. Even an ex boyfriend. You can learn to be more careful about your choice in men and you can learn what you want from a relationship. I firmly believe you can learn something from the people in your life. Both friends and people who you only chat with for 10 minutes in the market.

Not really, if you have no life. Just kidding! Actually yes! Sometimes I feel like I'm being used and stepped on. That's when I wish I had never met that person.

No, we all feel that way at some point, when someone causes us excessive pain, but looking at it from another point of view, spiritually, everyone we meet and are involved with is FOR A REASON. It is our mission to make ourselves stronger from every encounter; that is in our hands and no one else's... Look for the lesson...

It's a wish I've heard from many including myself ::: there - by making it normal in the people with whom I've meet.
I agree I'd be a different person, but what if I want to be that different person???

Hell No! It's not strange at all. I still wish, to this day, that I'd never met my ex-b/f. What an a$$......
