God makes a book of rules. Everybody breaks those rules, because the rules are too strict. When we break a rule, he calls it 'sinning'. When we sin, we get punished. For every sin, the punishment is the same: Hell. Unless we allow a dude named Jesus in our hearts, then sinning doesn't matter anymore, and you're forgiven.
If it's impossible not to sin, and every sin is punished the same...and there is only one way out: Jesus...Then what is the point of having rules?
If the message is: "everybody sins anyway, so you need Jesus", why all this drama of making up hundreds of rules that can't be followed?
Why not just: "Breathing is a sin, so you're a bad person who needs Jesus"?
