How do we find out the facts? Internet, TV and newspapers all relay what they (whoever they are) want us to know.
Its scary!

My fiance always tells me that he thinks I don't know alot. He makes me feel as if I am stupid. Sometimes he'll agree with me that I feel that way. He doesn't apologize to me when he makes me feel that way. People say that he thinks he knows it all as well, it does seem to bother me because when he is right about something he'll rub it in. He's told me that he hates stupid people and he feels when he knows when he's right he'll let anyone know. What should I do about him thinking and acting this way all the time?

Does anyone have any idea how the bible came to be assembled into one book logistically? I believe in the bible, have just always been curious how so many chapters, from so many different lands and times, all made it together into one book. I'm not looking for "God willed it", I get that; i interested from a logistical and historical perspective, does anyone know? When did the "first" bible come together. Intelligent answers only please! Thank You.

I'm looking for 1 song in particular. It's used at the end of the commercial and it has a bit of a celtic sound to it. It also has words similar to "Come to rise" or something like that.

Hi, I'm 30, a Teacher, and I live a good, clean life.
However, I have certain family members who ask VERY Personal Questions to me and that makes me feel uncomfortable. Example, they will ask "how much money are you making", "does your best friend have AIDS?", etc?
I think asking questions like that is wrong--but they will keep asking me over and over. When I do answer them--they will immediatley tell other people.

I believe that I have a right to privacy---but my family members feel that we are "all family", and that I am "seceretive".Its because they are a bunch of gossiping blabbermouths that I dont tell them everything..How can I avoild Lying to them when they start asking personal questions--while being honest??!

Plus, what are you feelings about people in your family who ask personal questions ?? Is that good etiquette?

This is a very mixed forum full of people of different beliefs. If I want to learn about other faiths or beliefs and I ask a question to learn how can I? If I ask about Muslims or Hindus I will get all kinds of folks telling me to go to their church. If I ask about atheists I am going to get told they have no morals. If I ask about Christians I am going to get told they are stupid. If i ask a Catholic question , fundamentalists invariably try to tell the Catholics what they should believe or say Catholics pray to statues etc. Isn't it rather disrespectful to not let people speak for themselves? How can we ever understand new things this way?

...of menatl illness? For exmaple, while there are dangerous extremes to every belief system, could a true belief be misdiagnosed? If a person sincerely believes that dreams provide inner guidnace, and makes healthy choices based on messages received, that is definitely outside of the cultural "norm". Yet is it indicative of an illness? Some might interpret it as a sign of immature thinking processes; others would say it is a healthy use of intuition. Where do clinicians draw the line?

I recently found that I have a few faint wireless network signals in the upstairs corner of my house. I am wondering if there exists a device that could pick up those signals (I'm not sure where they are coming from) and amplify them in my house so that I could use my MacBook downstairs also.

Does anyone know a device capable of this given I don't know where the signal is from or what type of router is broadcasting it?
