Okay, so I know that unidentified people in the US are called John or Jane Doe but what do you call unidentified people in the UK? John Smith? What about females??

John and Jane Doe is a name that is used by anybody who speaks English. The phrase was created around the time that we started being friends with the UK. So, we both used it.
