Here is Smart Moneys test of small compacts. http://www.smartmoney.com/autos/newcars/index.cfm?story=december2006 The Yaris got dead last with 2 stars, Nissan Versa third with 2.5 stars, Chevy Aveo sedan second with 3 stars and of course, the Honda Fit won with 3.5 stars. They dont post the scores online, but I have the magazine and that was the ranking they gave them. In the first link I gave you there are also Car and Driver and MotorWeek awards, in which the Fit also won best small car in both. Toyota also has a huge engine sludge problem http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/toyota_engine.html I could go on and on about why you shouldnt buy a Toyota, especially the cheapest one.

The Yaris came in third to the Nissan Versa second and the Honda Fit first in Motor Trend. The Chevy Aveo is currently the worst car on the market in the world today. A good price quote is $11,000 for the small 2 door Yaris and $12,000 for the basic sedan at Wolfchase Toyota.
