Can anyone who has seen the film "the prestige" with christian bale and hugh jackman pls explain to me the ending?
cause i am a bit slow and i just dont get it!
i was expecting some great twist or shock at the end but i dont really understand it other than that he did tricks with his twin ...?

pretty much. christian bale had a twin who did the trick with him. and hugh jackman ended up cloning himself and killing his clones.

Bale was a twin and that is how he did all his tricks. One was in prison and one was a live. No one knew that they were twins, so Bale never cheated on his wife and was in love with Scarlett. Jackman would clone himself and then kill the clone every time by drowning him. Bale walked back stage and saw Hugh drowning and then tried to save him, but it looked like he murdered him, so one twin went to jail. Found out that Hugh was actually alive. But the other twin was the father of the girl. I hope that cleared everything up.

OK. I haven't seen the film, but have read the book.
Basically, the device makes a new body every time it transports his mind, so leaving an empty body behind.
That's what all the body's are in the family tomb.
(I hope the film has the same plot & ending as the book, otherwise this won't make any sense:-))

there was a twist, that guy's assistant was the magicien identical twin brother but dressed up with moustaches.
