I am a freelance graphic designer in the market for a new laptop. This is my situation:

I cannot afford a mac. I want one BAD, but can't spend what I don't have. My budget is around $1100.

I am looking for a good laptop with a 17" screen, enough RAM and a good processor to handle multiple files (biggest being 200 mb)in multiple programs simultaneously. I use Adobe Suites CS2 more than anything else on my computer and I usually have photoshop, illustrator and indesign open all the time with a file or two files open in each.

I need advice on what kind of laptop to get. Enough RAM, good processor, and EXCELLENT Graphics card.

Any insight is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I want to tell this guy I liked him without being embarrassed. I recently watched a movie called Idiocracy which took place in the year 2506. Everyone was stupid because evolution had favored those who bred the most. The movie implied that those who bred the most tended to be less intelligent. As a result, society gradually dumbed down. Crosby has more assists than either of them have points. I am not taking too much away from them, they are good young offensive talents.......in the regular season, but please put away your anointing oils Wings fans. They seem to get alot of love on here, maybe it is just the same people praising them over and over but these 2 are the biggest choke artists to come along since Alexei Yashin.

Im a college student...who loves women. I used to be infatuated with many women, and id do like anything to get girls....always checking them out and everything, non stop thinking about sex. now after recent experiences, after getting some sex and regular action here and there, and lots of thinking...i realized how easy girls can really be, and it has distorted my vision of how special girls really are...and im worried i wont be able to fall in love for a long time at least. i dont think that its a good thing, though its what most guys want, to think nothing of women and have sex with no attatchments, but its depressing. i guess what im looking for is someone to pep talk me and tell me theres someone out there special worth giving myself up for, and dedicating myself to. because the way i see it right now is what really draws us to the opposite sex is SEX itself, so its going to be hard for me to find someone i need, if i dont really need them to begin with. thank you for reading

Sex education in schools has proven to be ineffective in reducing the teen pregnancy rate. Many people believe that teenagers are going to experiment with sex no matter what they are taught at home and in school. If we assume that teens WILL have sex anyway, what can we do to prevent them from becoming pregnant? Is there some kind of social or educational program that could effectively address this problem?

Assumptions:
1. Some parents will educate their children about sex, but many will not.
2. Some teens will choose abstinence - these are not the target.
3. Abortion is not to be included in any of the proposed options - for the purpose of focusing the discussion on the other options.
