It affects so many people on so many different levels. First of all you have the soldiers that lose their friends, they are in constant danger so there is alot of fear, they have the trauma of killing people even kids, then there are the innocent civilian bystanders that are just standing there when war erupts, and they watch loved ones or anyone fall to the ground and die. You have people in other countries viewing the chaos on the news and kids asking about it and having to explain why things like this happen.. You have victims of both sides being mourned by their loved ones. You have soldiers going home and trying to live after what they have seen and did. War is a very hard subject and there is more than just one opinion. But no matter who you are or where you are, War does affect you one way or another.

Mentally- some men are never able to live or let go of the people they saw suffer, die or killed in war. That also affects them emotionally. Physically some people actually gets hurt and killed. It also affects the people that goes to war families.

My Mother lived through the war.
From the things she told me, it goes like this;
Disbelief
Fear
Strength, both mental and physical
paranoia
Acceptance
Live for today only and don't think about the future, because there may not be any.
She dealt in the black market to feed her kids, so she learned to be dishonest and scam, to hide things well, and she once lifted her weight in illegal butchered meat hidden in a laundry basket, because my father's life depended on it not being found.
The only thing that mattered was life and death.
Normal everyday things were forgotten.
After the war? It was those things mentioned that were hard to forget so everyday things could replace them.
She always said everything , including life goes in a circle.

It's depressing to see such hate and it does nothing but spread hate and evil. I saw a Middle Eastern woman on TV who said that she hated Americans for invading her country and that she'll teach her sons to kill Americans. It's sad...violence is not doing any good. Having war for peace is like fu*king for virginity.

each person gets affected differnetly, the closest experience is with my father he was in the gulf war. He has muscle pains, he can get violent (under meds now) and suffers from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)

Good question boss! My parents could answer that question really well.
They were children growing up in Germany during WW2 and stories that will put a chill up and down your spine!
For instance, every time my mother hears a loud piercing siren(Fire Dept.) she get nervous and always has when that happens. Every time that siren went off when she was little they had minutes to get to a bomb shelter. She remembers hearing the explosions above ground and didn't know if she was going to survive or not.
I could go on with her and my fathers stories.

that's really a stupid question..(sorry).War causes complete mental and physical breakdown among the common man.Your house blows up with a bomb. You have no more home.Your food supply is also gone(with your house).Your family was sleeping when the bomb hit so you lost your family.
So, now your homeless, food less,no family.Your city is in ruins. And to top it all off there is no one there to help.No one to give you food, shelter, comfort you.How would you feel? How would you feel physically, mentally, emotionally? Physically..your hungry and thirsty..mentally your in anguish, stressed out. Emotionally your crumbling you've lost your whole life, your whole family...whats left to live for?

Just like the old saying go's. What doesn't kill you, Makes you stronger. And war is no different considering it has been part of human life in general.

It really depends on whether they are a soldier actively fighting in the war or a civilian. Your question is pretty broad.
