why do pregnant bellies look egg shaped when they are first starting to grow?

Bellies all look different on women, besides the baby is growing in the lower part first!

The uterus is actually a small pear shape. As the uterus grows during pregnancy it is spherical(oval shape), not completely round.

because of your uterus. It's not a large circle- as it expands it gets longer and bigger-- google some pictures of pregnancy and you'll see..
