30 days minimum.
LoJack...depends on the vehicle you are looking at purchasing and where you live.

If you have endorsement for rental car coverage on your policy, then that should be about the length of time to settle your claim. In most cases, the insurance company wants to settle as soon as possible unless there are extenuating circumstances such as if you know the person who stole your car, or this is your third stolen car in a year, or you were extremely upside down in the value. (the last one is for people who can't handle the payments and use car theft as a way out of the payments; it seldom works out in their favor, though.)
Take a look at your policy; it probably says in there somewhere how long they have to settle your claim. And, the insurance commission in your state has guidelines they have to follow. Check for their web site.

My husband's truck got stolen, and they couldn't find it after one month, so the police made a statement that it was a loss. That way, the insuraqnce company would pay out. Good luck.
You might be interested in this article...it's another incident that happened with our insurance agency recently, not related to the stolen truck, but bearing greatly on vehicle insurance.
