I took my 98 Buick (~50,000 miles) in to the shop because the service engine light was on. The computer said it was the catalytic converters. I had those changed for a reasonable price, but the guy said that the struts need to be changed as well. I don't think the struts have been changed before (my grandparents had the car for the first 30,000 miles). The quote was $289.95, which is a lot of money for me, so if I don't really need to pay that, I'd rather not. It kind of seemed like the mechanic was just trying to find more stuff to charge me for.

I took the car in to the dealer not too long ago and they found some other stuff wrong (at even higher prices), but they didn't say anything about the shocks/struts. So, what's the deal? Are they just trying to rip me off because I don't know anything about cars?

My cat is 7 years old. She used to come around all the time when we had our first dog, a Shih Tzu, but stopped after we had to put the dog down. We now have 2 golden retrievers and my cat will not come down stairs on her own.

We've brought her down ourselves to get used to the dogs, put her collar and lead on but she doesn't want to stay. We've recently moved (not because of her) and thought that might help, everyone coming into the new house together at the same time but no. She doesn't show signs of fear of the dogs, she's just not interested in being around them but she's right at our feet when we go up stairs.

I feel so bad her being upstairs alone but I don't know what else I can do to make her come around and see us.

I've got a indoor rabbit. She's a Dutch Bunny and she's a good girl but lately she's been biting and snarling at my husband and I. She used to just up on the couch and watch TV with us and follow us around the house but now she runs away and tries to bite us. We haven't moved or hurt her in anyway. We've treated her the same way since day one. Any advice about what could cause these mood swings and what to do to cure them?

A short bio about Jewel:

"Jewel was born in Payson, Utah, to German-speaking immigrants from Switzerland, Atz Kilcher and Lenedra Carroll. She is the cousin of actress Q'Orianka Kilcher. She spent most of her young life in Homer, Alaska, living with her father. The home she grew up in did not have indoor plumbing; it had a simple outhouse instead. She and her father sometimes earned a living by singing in bars and taverns. It was from these experiences she learned to yodel, a quality demonstrated in many of her songs. Her father was a Mormon, but they stopped attending the church shortly before she turned eight.

During high school, Jewel was known to spell her name "Jule" or "Juel," but she attributes this to simply playing with her name.

Jewel learned to play the guitar while on scholarship at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, where she majored in operatic voice. She started writing songs at the age of seventeen."

I injured my calf playing football(soccer) today. I was trying to get to a ball near the keeper and i nearly got there, and tried to shoot with the outside of my foot. It kind of twisted my calf muscle or something because it began to hurt and I couldnt play for the rest of the match. Now, at home there is much less pain, only a bit when i get up and walk and even then only in some positions. I'd like to know if i can play football tomorrow or is it better to just rest? What should I do to speeden up the recovery process? Please help.
