My cichlids had about 100 babies. I didn't even know they had been mating. As I was unprepaired for this I don't know know what to do from here. My question is, Will the parents eat or kill the babies? Should I remove the babies from the tank or leave them as they are?

Cichlids are usually some of the best parents in the fish world. You shouldn't have any problems in that regard so I would suggest you simply leave them as they are. Knowing what kind you have, the size of the tank and the other inhabitants of the tank would help me a lot in making more specific suggestions.

I had some convict cichlids that had babies and they were very protective! They were alot of fun to watch. If the babies got too far away the parents would put them in their mouth and take them back to were the rest were. If you don't want the fish and can't take care of that many.....see if a pet store will take them. If not, as a last resort you could remove the parents and let the other fish eat them...I don't know if I could do this myself though :(

If you don't want this to happen again, you are going to have to seperate the parents.....cichlids breed, breed, and breed some more.

They normally look after their own babies, leave them where they are,and if you have other fish in the tank they will clear them away from the area where the babies are, quite aggressively.
Ask the pet shop for baby fish food, it is normally in a small bottle and is very fine, like a mist.A few drops in the tank where the babies are and it is like a mist, they eat the small solid particles in the mist.
never overfeed fish, follow the directions carefully .

as a fashion to reproduce Bettas you're able to have the main appropriate water situation, a temperature around 70, and you're able to positioned the female's exterior the tank of their own jar and allow the male to work out them yet not get at them, this might deliver him into mate mode, then positioned the girls folk in with the male and he will mate. in case you in basic terms drop them in with him he might kill them or a minimum of wont difficulty with them. In a ten gallon tank he will likely in basic terms bypass away them on my own. The little cichlids will likely %. away at his fins and finally kill him.
