I worked for two different denominations as a youth director for a Lutheran and an Episcopal church. I think it was great, there was pretty much no different whatsoever in their beliefs, only in the way they did Sunday service. I am proud to have been part of that.

Then they cut funding for the youth director position... grr... but thats another topic.

I think ecumenism is great as long as the aim is not to be one in "error". There are very important revelations that the Catholic Church has been privileged to be shown so why throw them out for the sake of the partial truth? I read an interesting article that said that a form of ecumenism would be the anti-Christ because it would be all points of human law rather than a personal first hand experience with Jesus. I think that's true in a way. I really think that the Orthodox of the Christian religions will see that the Church that stands behind the Pope in theology and morals, will be the true Church as it does not cave in to abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, Embryonic Stem Cell research and they will once again join together while the World wide religion people who are for "The Common Good" (which in reality is NOT good) will slowly go the way of all those who defy God. (and I think this includes some factions within the Catholic Church herself)
