I injured my calf playing football(soccer) today. I was trying to get to a ball near the keeper and i nearly got there, and tried to shoot with the outside of my foot. It kind of twisted my calf muscle or something because it began to hurt and I couldnt play for the rest of the match. Now, at home there is much less pain, only a bit when i get up and walk and even then only in some positions. I'd like to know if i can play football tomorrow or is it better to just rest? What should I do to speeden up the recovery process? Please help.

REST! I just asked a question about a calf injury that resulted from NOT waiting long enough to get back into action.

rest, rest and rest..thats all you have to do,no football for u for the next two to three weeks at the most..DONT BE HARD HEADED THINGKING THAT YOU CAN MANAGE FINE BY LIMPING AWAY! OR if you cant really resist moving around with that injury then have it cemented and walk on crutches instead, hehehe, you'll be in for more rest and laze around, oh c'mon, dont tell me that you dont like to laze around sometimes, you have the opportunity now so grab it and enjoy being the big baby once in a while, take care the next time around...
