What can I do right now to alleviate the pangs of lonliness?
They don't come often, but what strategies could I use to get rid of the emptiness.
Don't say crap about getting a life and joining a club, I have a life. I just want to know what I can do for those few minutes every now and again when the silence becomes unbearable.

Why do you try to convert people? What do you get from it?

That's the real question, and some description: Big groups of belief are clashing with each other and, even through that, the groups are trying to convert each other. Why do you try to convert people? Do you think your religion makes people happier or that believing in so-and-so will help you win the lotto? Please enlighten me. I don't understand why you want to convert someone to your beliefs who you just had a near-deadly argument with over beliefs, beliefs meaning that they can't be proven.

And the small "disclaimer." For future reference, I understand not all people do it, etcetera etcetera. Aimed at people who do.

I'm curious about this. How do you, as a Christian (or any other religious person) feel about asking the "universe" to bring things into existence that you are intending, such as the philosophy behind the current "The Secret" new age phenomenon? I got two silver fillings a few weeks ago, and whenever something cold touches them it hurts really badly. Does anyone know how long it takes before this stops happening? It is a little better than when I first got them, but I really miss ice cream :-).

I have pulled out the dryer, cleaned the hose that goes into the wall and into the dryer, and thoroughly cleaned the lint trap. The clothes get a little dry in the dryer but are still very damp after cycle is done. The dryer is heating up. It is a whirlpool electric dryer, a couple of years old.
