i do believe that jokes are half true. a friend made a stupid comment about the idea of her and I being a couple... she commented "wrong number"... that phrase is just really insulting... what do you guys think?

so i have a friend who is in the last year of school, he wants to go really well and he just isnt. he tries and does all his homework and has tutors before and everything b ut he just cant do the maths and english and chem. he is affraid of failing school after 13 years of it. anyone got any suggestions of what to say or what to do?

I have a lap top computer. After in-activity the computer goes into hybernation. (as per normal). I used to be able to half depress the on button and it would resume. However now it doesn't. I have to continue through with a manual shut down and then a restart with the on off button. Possiblities?

Okay, I'm just going to make this short and sweet. Can a person change themselves for the better if they really work on it? I know the sayings, "just be yourself," and "to thine own self be true." But what if you don't like who you really are; and for the most part neither does anybody else? Could you look deep inside yourself and change the way you think, believe and feel?
I just want to finally be happy with who I am.

I know this guy friend who likes spending time with a young girl.
She doesn't like her real Dad and he's basically M.I.A. in her life.
He will sometimes takes her out to eat, shopping or to a movie. Just simple fun stuff a girl her age likes.
She enjoys spending time with him because he always spoils her.
Since it's a small town, I just don't want others to talk and think something wierd is going on with the two .
Some will think the worst since they know she is not her daughter.

I've seen this several times on this site alone. The only time I've seen a poll stating 70% of the people believe in any one thing is in regards to the troop surge or troop funding, not an end to the war. Any ideas where people are getting this 70% of U.S. citizens want to end the war?

i guess you have obviously guessed that i'm young from the question. you are correct.I'm 15-16yrs. well the thing is I met this guy on the net and we started talking.And if you're wondering then yes he is who he says he is about 16 and in liverpool. I on the other hand am in bham and we have been talking for the last 3mths. now he told me that he loved me and also some of his cousins and mates know about me.I feel for him too and he really does make me happy and he seems to know almost the right thing to say to make me happy even if its his fault im sad.i want to know what you people think about our relationship and it woulld be nice if you could be honest and not think of yourself when answering this. should i continue talking to him? i cant meet him in person until august and he says he doesn't mind even if its 6mths away.

i am 26 and soon to be 27 - i have been with my fella for over 5 yeasr have a house together etc etc but ive become increasingly confused about stuff. i am torn with my friends i have work friends who are my age having babies talk about house stuff -which is great as thats on my level - then there are my friends who i go out with who are a few years younger all live at home have no responsibilities and go out getting drunk pulling guys - then all i get to here about is so and so etc.... my fella goes out with his mates about twice a week and to be honest it gets on my nerves - going out getting drunk - i am just feeling a little bit lost and stuck in the middle of grown ups my own age then my friends who have no clue or responsiblities. ..

Zoloft isnt helping, Paxil turned me manic, wellbutrin gave me a seizure...I would like tosuggest something to my doctor and was hoping someone has some feedback on how a specific medicine helped them. I have a fear of failure and disappointment that I think is the cause of the lack of motivation at least. The only thing that helped was klonopin. But it is addictive and hard to get a prescription. Any feedback?
