We have two jars of peanut butter with the bar code 2111, one being almost empty because we made peanut butter cookies with it. Should we simply throw it away or should it be tested? We all have had flu like symptoms in the last several weeks, but the flu is going around. Any advice?

Last night my husband and I went out to dinner/movie with a friend of his since high school (my husband is still friends with a lot of people from HS). Anyway, out of no where asked us if what we would think if he told us he was gay. This guy dated a girl for 6 years during end of high school to college and hasn't dated much since. He's in his 40's and very shy/reserved. There was a really long pause and when I realized my husband wasn't going to say anything, I said, "Well, that would be fine. It doesn't matter whatever you are." I know what I said wasn't the best thing to say, but I was a bit taken off guard. Then the guy said really fast, "Well, I'm not." But, I don't know, normally I'm very good at reading people. I asked my husband why he didn't say anything and he responded that he thought his friend was just joking around. That's not a joke his friend would tell. I told him I thought different, I thought he was just testing us to see what we'd say. Thoughts? Thanks.

She was born in the US two months into her father's visa. Then she says stuff like

During my book tour across the country for Invasion, this issue came up time and again. In the Southwest, everyone has a story of heavily pregnant women crossing the Mexican border to deliver their "anchor babies." At East Coast hospitals, tales of South Korean "obstetric tourists" abound. (An estimated 5,000 South Korean anchor babies are born in the US every year). And, of course, there's a terrorism angle.

Can I get antibiotics that my doctor has previously prescribed to me without going to see him. When I get the flu, he always gives me the same thing but I don't remember the name of that medicine. So If I know what he's going to give me why not just go to the pharmacy and get what I need. You think the pharmacist will let me? I know, I need to find out the name of the medicine first, maybe I can just call my doctor if thats possible.

How did your relationship change?
Do tell.

The point is moot as far as the relationship goes (it's dead as disco), but my soon-to-be ex-girlfriend has to answer to your responses.

We're both jerks, based on what I'm about to tell you, but who is the bigger jerk?

Person One: steals from retailers to earn a living, and lies to person two about his/her whereabouts and activities when he/she is engaged in this illegal activity.

Person Two: has, over two years, read virtually every word of every journal and every letter and every email that PersonTwo has ever written, methodically and systematically going through thousands of pages of notebooks and computer files despite Person Two's strenuous objections ahead of time and during the invasion of privacy.

It should be noted that Person One claims that Person Two's behavior, which has been going on much longer, set the tone for his/her dishonesty.

Which jerk do you find more detestable, and by how wide a margin? Let's use a jerk scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the biggest jerk ever.

In case you've forgotten what adjectives, adverbs, nouns, and verbs are, here is a quick review:

An ADJECTIVE describes something or somebody. Lumpy, soft, ugly, messy, and short are adjectives.

An ADVERB tells how something is done. It modifies a verb and usually ends in "ly". Modestly, stupidly, greedily, and carefully are adverbs.

A NOUN is the name of a person, place or thing. Sidewalk, umbrella, bridle, bathtub, and nose are nouns.

A VERB is an action word. Run, pitch, jump, and swim are verbs.
