In a state lottery, you must select 5 numbers (in any order) out of 40 correctly to win top prize.

Here is the question........How many ways can 5 numbers be chosen from 40 numbers?

I thought the answer would be: 40!/(40-5)! which equals 78,960,960. But the book says the answer is 658,008? I can't figure out how they got that number, maybe a book error??? Please help!

My family lives in a chalet-style house on a boulevard in a mountain town, but we aren't afraid of avalanches. My dad is an employee at a restaurant. Their specialties are a slad with vinaigrette dressing and croutons and chicken casserole. My mom once had a cameo in a Hollywood blockbuster, but she says she likes the peaceful ski-village life better. She owns a hair salon, and in her spare time she paints souvenir mountain scenes for a gift shop. My brother wants to be a ballet dancer. My sister twirls the baton in the band. When I grow up, I want to be an Olympic skier.

ok, so this girl that i am crazy over seems to like me back. she always gives me "the look" in her beautiful eyes and she always like talks to me and laughs @ whatever i say if its remotley funny. she seems to want to "touch" me (not in a wrong way, but like she has the urge to like touch my hand or hit me sometimes when i kinda poke fun at her.....but anyway...thats not my question....
i notice that after the times when i have a major conversation with her, she goes to the bathroom, and anywhere from 1-3 of her friends go with her. what dew they do in there? do she talk about me? girls tell me everything that you could possibly say in that situation, honestly.

mark's exwife hates me and makes my life hell.now he left her becuase she was too controlling and made his life hell. but the way i see it she still controlling his life.they both have joint custody of thier son so she can't threaten to take his son away.for example she does not want me going to any of her sons school functions(for no good reason) my husband agrees as he says he does not want to make trouble for his son.he will never stand up for me no matter what she does.if she made his life so bad why does he let her get away with so much?why does it not bother him when he sees how upset she makes me by treating me like a doormat?

The accident was caused by a wheel laying in the road, presumably dropped from the spare tire holder of a big rig. The veichle in question was a 2006 Toyota Matrix. The damage to the veichle included 2 blown wheels, broken front axles, and other unspecified damage to the car as it went airborne. The insurance company denies the claim as there was "no fault to be found". Can anyone out there direct me to some helpful info (court cases/documentation) so my friend doesn't get stuck with a huge repair bill and a higher premium? We think someone should be held responsible....can anyone help?
