Say you go to a fast food restaurant and the total is $4.03, and you give them a $5 bill. And instead of them just forgetting about the 3 cents and giving you a dollar back, they give you 97 cent in change? I mean, come on!!

She is crying, scratching at the door and windows to get out (she is an indoor cat though)... I am going to spay her, they say to BEFORE the first heat, but she went into it earlier than most (about 4.5- 5 months old now!)
Anything I can do, or shouldn't be doing to help her through this? I have been petting her, mostly the neck and head area... but also some along the small of her back ( this makes her even more crazy... figured it is probably BAD to do whilst she is in heat.) Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

My husband tells me hes has always had this problem. His ex cheated on him several times caught red handed in bed . and still never admits to it. so now divorced for over 10 years has filled the kids head with crap. they never treat him as a dad just or money hand out. he gives all of the child support and insurance. never late. she does not work is remarried and always tryes to get the kids to treat the stepfather and his family as there father and teaches the kids not to respect the real dad. after christmas and what they all did lie say there were coming for christmas and then not come only for 10 mins and said ok give me my presents we want to go very nice over hear we are good to the kids. but the mom fills there heads he said till we go to couseling and there attitude changes there cant come over they dont call they dont admit to nothing. they steal, lie over here. he called the mom cause he heard she was going around telling lies to people and to talk she wont call back

Given the interpretation of Mammon to be: Money, riches, property, worldly goods or profit; what are the implications of this when we come to buying goods ie: groceries, clothes etc.?

Most companies are in the business of making a profit, so should we be spending ethically?

Or is it what is in our hearts as we buy goods that matters?

This question came about through a discussion between my wife and I. She contends that we should be looking into buying goods on a more ethical basis and not just on our needs. I agree to a point but feel that our motivations when we buy are more important ie: feeding and clothing ourselves and our children.

I would be most interested to hear other Christians views on this matter.

I have two dogs that are half Labrador and half Australian Shepherd, they are both so friendly and loveable and we adore them but when left in the house alone ,even for a short span of time, they chew everything in sight. We have to put them in when we leave sometimes because it is just too cold to leave them outside for extended periods. We try to take precautions so they won't chew everything but nothing is working. They have ruined our two couches and they have even ruined our door frames, window sils, furniture legs and a corner of the house outside. Does anyone have any solution to this problem that is literally eating us up? We love our dogs but we can't afford to replace anything at this time. Please help if you can, and thanks to all who write!
