This week the press are having fun highlighting "the blunders" of the Home Office and blaming John Reid. But all the previous New and Old Labour Home Secretaries have made worse blunders (remember Straw, Blunket and Clarke) and indeed so have previous Tory Home Secretaries, all of who have proved equally inept & unable to find out what mistakes the civil servants in HO are making nor correct nor prevent these mistakes re-occuring. But do we not all know that our own mistakes can be found and corrected, such as by doing a spell check before we send off our E Mail applying for a new job etc. Computers can beat any human in the world in brain games like chess provided it is programmed by an expert. So why not recruit somebody like Bill Gates or Yahoo's top programmer to program a super computer that will totally take over the function of Home Secretary from human control and will detect, investigate, correct and prevent all "mistakes" through its ability to access all data
