I was asked to manage a tax office this year, for a salary of $500/week. The original agreement was for me to be there Monday-Thursday, 10am-7:30pm, Friday, 9am-8pm, Saturday 10am-7pm, and off on Sundays. Not the best schedule, but I need the work, and it will look good on my resume, so I took it.
Now I've gotten notice that I'm expected to be there Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday 9am-8pm, Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm with NO DAYS OFF AT ALL.
If you divide the salary by the hours I'll be working, the pay is peanuts, and I won't have a day off til April! Oh, and I can't even leave the office to take a lunch or run errands during the day.
