I ask this cause i keep hearing or reading on the net that canada does not have a military and that it expects the US to take of them. is this a joke as canada is mostly known for their peacekeeping efforts. As canadians do you guys think your military can defend canada against any threats or is it widely expected that the americans will come for you. Also currently does the US provide any security forces for Canada or any kind of security for you guys.

Well, me and my girl of 9 years are "taking a break" Basically we got into some arguments and she thought maybe we needed time to ourselves, but never over 9 years has she ever done this. I told her that I didn't want to break up and I was happy in the relationship and she would say, "are you really? I only wanted to take a break because you did" type of thing. But then a few hours later she said "something" was bothering her, and that she'd always love me and be there for me but she needed some time for me to work out my issues and hers.

I asked her, "Are we together?" and she said, "I don't know".. that is what hurt the most. I told her how long would it take to clear her head and she said, "a few days" but I don't know what to think. I'm hurting from this and wish she'd just decide what she wants to do.

Anyway, what do you think will happen?

or there was no way you could have the 1st or not a chance because you just couldnt be together for some reason what so ever. I'd personally opt to have 1st best for my love life but i wouldnt be happy with 2nd best tho although you could say its close. What would you do if you couldnt have some1 u loved more than the other? Have you ever been in situations like this that made you HAVE to choose your 2nd best guy/girl and married them later on? do you still have thoughts on if you would be happier if you had gone for 1st best but tehre was something stopping u at the time and you couldnt?
