I have been employed by the same company for 3 years. I have 12 years experience in my field(retail sales/finance). My boss hired a man to do the same job 6 months ago and I found out he is paid about 25% more than me. When I asked my boss about it he told me that it was because he had 2 children and a wife. I have 4 children and a husband. I did recieve a raise to the same pay as the man because I pressed the issue.

I got a telephone call from a friend saying he is in trouble, and before i knew why it dropped out. trying to call him back got no answer so i was worried. i knew where he was so rounded up some mates and headed straight there. anyway, he had upset a girl from africa, and was surrounded by her friends. they seemed peaceful enough but were still threatening to look at. the upset girl had broke his phone and was swearing at him. she dragged me into it telling me to back her up. i said i don't know whats going on yet. she said it is none of my business and then started pushing me and calling me 'white boy' and 'white whatever else' she could come up with. in the end it worked out but that is the only time i have been victim of racism, considering i am white in a major australian city. it isn't really a scary or inspiring story, but it gave me feelings of resentment towards her skin colour, which i found myself abhorred to discover. like she called me a 'stupid white boy' and 'what are you going to do white boy' sort of thing and it was joked afterwards replies like, 'i don't know, maybe become prime minister' or even just 'finish school and not live on wellfare'. whilst initially funny, i went on to detest this humour as i felt it made me as bad as her, as i know full well that there is but one blood that runs through us all and skin colour is just that, a colour and nothing more.

No. I'm a member of the superior master race, so racism really hasn't affected my life.
