In the past we have been highly social with those that we lived near. I know it was mostly for a means of survival, but shouldn't we as human beings desire to be closer to other human beings? Any thoughts? Is it all due to the technological nature of our existence? Has the internet made us socially inept?

My mom is asking someone to do my taxes, and I really don't want her to know how much I made this year (she likes to take my money). What will happen if I don't report all of my income for the year? I worked at four places in 2006: one place (around $3200), second ($600), and then I got an internship that paid $2400. Then in school, I made about $500.

What will happen if I don't send her the info for the internship? Can I just send her the current information, and then contact whoever later and tell them that I "forgot" some information?

What's are the possible problems that can come out of not reporting the internship money? I know nothing about taxes...any help would be appreciated.

If someone could explain what exactly filing taxes does, that would be great. Thanks.

ok, i asked a question about this topic and it was closed so i couldnt ask follow up questions. But im still not understanding what IRA's and Mutual Funds were. Everyone keeps saying its worth the risk, and thats all fine up until u actually lose the money and then was it really worth it. Like i said i have no financial background, dont anything about investments and stocks, so i feel it would be foolish of me to invest and not know how exactly it works. Is there anything besides those 2 that grow good interest but that is much more to what a savings account is. I dont know how stock flunctuates or what businesses are doing good, so could give some other options, and please remember i dont have a financial backing, so using financial vocab would be just like u are talking to me in japanese

The Bible clearly states it in Romans 1:27 saying "men leaving the natural use of the woman... men with men, working that which is unseemly". God intended from the begining, for man to be like him, but Adam and Eve were decieved by Satan who came in the form of a snake, which is an animal, and Adam sinned against God, making him lower than God and the angels. But he was still above animals. Then later in the cities of Sodom and Gommora, men became homosexuals. Abraham went their to rescue all the righteous people that were there. While they were their, the homosexuals, tried to force the men to come out and have sex with them. Abraham and the few people escaped and God destroyed the cites with brimstone and fire. Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus tolerates sin, especially homosexuallity. He forgives it but he doesn't tolerate it. But he can't forgive it if they don't repent.

My daughter is a great kid. She gets good grades, works, is very active around the house with chores and all of her younger siblings, she has a great personality, is social and active with her friends (no boy yet) and is just a great kid.... very beatuiful too! I love her to death but a FACE piercing???? And in the bottom lip! Someone, please explain to me the facination with piercings! And, since I remember being a teen myself I know that if she wants it bad enough she will go ahead and get it despite what we say...only it wil be somewhere we cannot see it and then I have to worry about where it is and who she is showing it to (you know, like a tatoo on the bottom) how do I encourage her to wait until she is 18! HELP!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!

The other day i was on this site checking out Q's and A's like you do when a new face appeared, this person was so insulting to everyone and only asked questions which were intended to belittle peoples religions, she did it in such a horrible way that i got so p****d off that i swore at her and called her ugly! Do you think that after calling her her ugly i should have a real pic of myself on here so she, and anyone who might like her, can possibly retaliate? I do feel bad for saying that cause i know its pathetic but she was just such a b***h!

I have to crushes i cant decide can u help?
#1 This crush is extermly popular. I have never acualy talk to him becides him telling me the net is the other way in gym. He is also so cute. But i dont even know if he knows i exist.
#2 this crush is like one of my better friends. He is kinda a dork. We goof around like making fun of each other each day. I guess hes kinda cute but he is like the nicest person u have ever met.
