1) Maldini. In the same club since the beginning. Still good
2) Ronaldo is the best Fifa world cup scorer and won two times the world cup (he was on the bank in 1994)
3) Pelé because I had to choose. But Maradonna is more a legend than Maldini for example
4) Zidane. Beckham will be forgotten on ten years

Ronaldo and Zidane are the legends. Ronaldo might be a fatty, but he still can play football. He was and still is an instrumental part of brazil. Adriano is in the shadow of a an absolute legend.
Zidane is a true hero that wore the blue shirt performing exquisitely during his career. Without Zidane real madrid will go down.

Baggio, all the way! I love that man, he's the reason why I'm a football fan
Ronaldo: I hate that fatty but he's the one with the record of scoring in the world.
Pele: Why? because he was great, and he had a good life, didn't waste it with women and drugs.. Maradonna was a great player, but now he's just a sad character..
Zidane: all the way! he's in the top 10 of the best players in history.. Beckham is the most overrated football star ever.. a pretty face with lots of marketing and merchandising.

Pele is the only one who is a legend. Most people here in the U.S. would not recognize any of these names except for Pele. To me someone is a legend in a sport even if people who don't like the sport know his name. I think Pele is the only one here that falls into that category. Beckham will probably be considered a legend someday but not now.
