Disagreements...everyone has them. My fiance and I have some as well, and we usually do a good job of resolving them, but even after the disagreement is over, there's still some tension between us for a little while. How do you get rid of this tension quickly?

Ok, My husband and I are planning to divorce. He said that he wants the baby to live with me and he will give me a child support check. He said he also wants to be allowed to see him or visit him when the time is right. But he still wants to have some custody, so he'll be known as the father. What legal term is this?

Does anyone know any good songs about being pregnant or having kids? I guess I'm feeling sentimental right now. Me and my boyfriend are expecting our first baby in June. This is the most amazing thing to ever happen to us.

Hi! I'm planning a trip to Cuba but it is very hard to find reliable information. I'd like to know:

1. What currency is used in Cuba, and will it be possible to exchange Australian dollars for that currency easily?

2. Where are the best places to stay in Havana? We just want to stay some where comfortable but not overly expensive.

3. Is the best way to fly there from Australia to L.A. to Mexico City to Havana? Is there a better/cheaper/faster route?

4. Is it considered offensive to speak English in Cuba? We can speak Spanish, but would probably be speaking English to each other.

5. We might even get married while we are there. Do you know anyone who has done that? Where did they do it? Presumably it won't be legal in Australia though, right?

6. Any other advice??

According to the Tanakh, the forgiveness of sins requires sacrifices made in the temple, particularly the Yom Kippur rituals. The Temple was destroyed in 70CE and cannot be rebuilt because of the Muslims and the Al-Aqsa mosque. Could this be a sign from God that sins are now to be forgiven by other means?

The Talmud says that 40 years before the temple's destruction, there were signs associated with Yom Kippur rituals that showed that God no longer accepted them:

Christians say this was because Jesus died as the atonement for sins in 30 or 31 CE, thus fulfilling Daniel 9:27 and making temple sacrifices and offerings redundant. Could the modern lack of a temple be a hint from God pointing to this?

you have no idea what's so funny.

I was once part of a party game where only one participant ended up with lipstick all over their face (without them knowing). Everyone laughed, but mainly at watching that person trying to laugh like everyone else.

My patient has colorectal cancer, she has been told that her cancer is benign, and has been found out early, so theres no worry. her daughter, a nurse told her that. (but is malignant, and i'm the nurse in charge of her.)
In an asian context, her daughter claimed that by revealing the diagnosis to her mother, she would "lose hope on living".
Therefor, she has only been notified of a "benign tumor" and has underwent a colorectomy, which was to no avail, and now, is undergoing radiotherapy.

I was the nurse who was asked to be the witness, for the consent of her colorectomy.

Scenario - patient kept in dark about diagnosis, but still undergoes procedures, and signs consent. I am nurse in charge, witnessed consent, and not telling patient diagnosis (breech of patient's right at request of patient's daughter)

I would like to know, "how screwed i am?" in other words, what are the legal, and ethical issues i am bound to given this scenario?

scenario with regards to singapore context.
Thx

How many people are out there who have divorced their exe's, after a long marriage, or are aged in their fifties and single, who completely understand why many unhappy marriages are still together.
The alternatives are no fun, the loss of income, home, the children supporting one parent or the other, after being used to large get togethers at holidays, now finding yourself alone, coming home to an empty house, not comfortable accepting support offered from married friends who are busy with their own families, listening to work colleagues talk about their families, husbands when they have no idea what a struggle being a single mother can be, or a single person having to do everything themselves around the home with absolutely no-one else to help.
The worst by far is the loneliness.
I am not saying that marriages where there is abuse should still stay together, but I can understand why women in particular, stay in an unhappy marriage.
What do others feel about this?
