My gf and i recently got engaged. We want to get married sometime next year but we haven't set a date. Her parents are saying she is too young to think about getting married and say that we both need to finish school and start our carriers first before we should even talk about marriage. I have a job that pays pretty well and supporting us wouldn't be a problem, we do both go to school because we have goals, but our goals have become each others goals. We are not selfish, and put either of our needs before the others. I am 21 and she is 19, so yes we are young but thats not the point, what i am trying to ask is how do i try to get her parents consent for the marriage. They tell her she should wait untill she is around 26. I know we can get married now if we chose to but it would mean a lot to both of us, especially her if her parents supported our decision. I know that they are just trying to ensure a good future for her. Bottom line is we will get married, just how can we get support?

Also, what type of scales and runs did he like to use? I have been playing for 12 years and really started to listen to his stuff, but I come froma different school of training than Randy. Any suggestions on what type of modes and scaled to really focus on?
It sounds to me like he uses diatonic and harmonic minor scales quite bit. Just trying to find a little direction, as I find his playing quite good.

My life is starting to TICK ME OFF! Okay, I got everything from looks, money, friends and kindness. AND IT'S BUGGING ME!
Most of my friends only see me as a BANK from which they can withdraw from ANYTIME. Some guys from school misinterpret my kindness and think I'M GAY! THAT IS AN INSULT! The song was sung by a solo male or possibly male band with the lead vocalist singing. It was like a rock song not slow nor fast. I'm sure it's a popular song because I've heard it at the grocery stores a few times. It's a song probably from the 80s or 90s.
It was either a jeans commercial or a fruit of the loom t shirt commercial (i'm pretty sure it was a jeans commercial). I don't remember the entire commercial but at the end of the commercial, it's still day time, the guy in his white t shirt and jeans comes home, goes to his room is falling in slow motion on his bed with all white bed sheets, with his arms spread, and after he lands on the bed, the camera focuses on the back pockets of the guy's jeans. The commercial was shown probably in the late 90's or early 00's. Can anyone name that song? I don't remember any of the lyrics, I just remember the melody and the voice.

I left my house at 5:45 pm to go to a friend's house. Of course there was a thunderstorm. I got home at 11:43 pm and noticed that the electric analog clock in the kitchen said that it was 7:05 (the analog clock stops ticking whenver there is no power being supplied to it, but starts where it left off as soon as power is restored). The digital clock in the bedroom resets to 12:00 midnight when the power goes out. That clock was flashing 3:47 am. What time did the power go out, and for how long, and when did it come back on?
