stop comparing yourself with other people.LOL! don't get intimidated because there is no reason for you to be! okaY?? we are all special and Unique in our own WAy..you can do things that others can't.. Don't force yourself or pressure yourself to do things you can't. YOUR problem is that you don't have CONFIDENCE, but that is not a major problem. you can find solutions with that. here try this...JUST BE YOURSELF! in that way your true identity wiLL just pop-up. All in one. your talent, strenghts and weaknesses your uniqueness and beauty in other words your true personality wiLL come out and thta's it your confident already. just make sure your not being plastic okay?
you can do it dude!

Psshhhh they just appear confident (well there are a few who who actually are) but teachers can't tell who actually is and neither can anyone else. You just need to be able to act confident (which is how I got to skip Theater 1 (I didn't take it freshman year and I don't want to be stuck with the freshman (I'm 16 too btw) and all I did was act really confident when I asked the head of the department if I could go to Theatre 2 even though I was nervous as hell, and it worked)). In other words, if you act confident everyone will think you are and even though you might feel intimidated by the seniors, they won't feel like intimidating you.

It's great that you want to be more active in school, so good luck :]

Oh, another fellow Malaysian. =) Well... lets just say... perhaps you're intimediate with the seniors because you have a sense of inferiority. Well.. you have to build up your courage and able to not only able to stand as high as them but also respect them. In my personal opinion, you probably lack attention from your fellow students and teachers. Well.. you can try to be more active, greet your friends and teachers when you see them at school or out. Be more active in your club eg. play a role in a club and try to join some competition like public speaking or debate, etc. (what you're good at). Well.. that's all I can tell you, the rest you have to do it yourself. May you succeed in life.

Not real sure what you are seeking help with here. Obviously, you have already identified the problem. You lack of confidence. Maybe you need to identify why you don't feel confident or stop comparing yourself to other students.

Then be more confident. "NO GUTS , NO GLORY" , as the saying goes. You, yourself, are putting boundaries to what you can achieve. Don't do this. Believe in yourself more and think that if they can, you can do it better! If at first you don't succeed, then try and try again until you do.
