Does anybody know if Randy Rhoads used any alternate tunings on his stuff with Ozzy.?

Also, what type of scales and runs did he like to use? I have been playing for 12 years and really started to listen to his stuff, but I come froma different school of training than Randy. Any suggestions on what type of modes and scaled to really focus on?
It sounds to me like he uses diatonic and harmonic minor scales quite bit. Just trying to find a little direction, as I find his playing quite good.
