To this point right now i would have to say Kobe Bryant(Even though i just straight up hate the guy) But if you say this season you would have to go with my man Gilbert Arenas(MY fav player in the NBA) but yea this year i think Gilbert is the best player hes guided the team to number 1 in the division plus he guided them to stop the Dallas Mavericks win streak and the Suns win streak so Gilbert Arenas no doubt.

Kobe Bryant. He's the total package.

Kevin Garnett. That guy is money, he's been consistently good every since he joined the league. A definite contender.

Lebron James. He's turned into a stellar player in such a short time.

Allen Iverson. The guy is an offensive monster and has pretty good defense. I expect better from him now that he with Carmello "Sucker Punch" Anthony and the Nuggets.

Steve Nash is a great player offensively but his defense is very lackluster. The best PG in the league easily.

We shall use logic here: The best team is Dallas. The best player on that team is Dirk Nowitzi. So, therefore, Nowitzi is the best player currently.
But this may change in the next few days, weeks, months, etc.

Dirk Nowitzi he is the best shooter. He shoots pretty good for a big man. Also he led the mavs to the finals last year. HE is hard to guard. He won the three point contest last year too.

Arenas is the best player right now, he is among the leader in scoring and most importantly guiding his team first place in standing of their division.

ARENAS...if the season were to end today, I would give him the MVP, but Nash is probably gonna end up winning it again.
