I met someone who told me this idea: if we drill giant holes into the earth, the water would drain into the earth's crust and this would stop rising water from destroying costal cities.
You would have to drill in shallow water.
Does anyone have an opinion on this?

Staying at the Bavaro Princess and wondering if anyone has been there. If so, how was it, would you go back again? My 82year old dad is coping very well with his new pc on the whole but has just lost a 19 page document on it that we CANNOT find! He has probably made mistakes saving it.
We do have an earlier printed unrevised copy so I am wondering if it is possible to scan it back onto the pc and then do the revisions/additions again onto the new document? Any advice as to how to go about this will be gratefully received.The pc has WindowsXP if that makes any difference.

Jade and her boring boyfriend and her frightening mother are a complete waste of time in the house. Jade is only famous for being tupid......how does that warrant another visit into the house. I don't think anyone would be bothered about being her slave - she doesn't even know what a slave does. Her mum is a complete embarrassment. If a planet were to have three suns, not necessarily the strenght of ours, what would that planet be like? I was thinking desert-ish but I'm not sure.

Also, what is your best guess as to what would happen if a star went supernova (or some sort of equally large explosion) inside a black hole? Would the two counter act one anothers affect, possibly create a new something (star, planet, etc.) in it's place?

I know it's fiction so I can technically make up whatever I want, but I want it to be semi-realistic. You don't want the reader to lose interest because what you've done sounds unplausable.
