I have an HP laptop with 1 gig of RAM, a 100gb hdd with 46gb remaining, a core duo 1.73Ghz and 533mhz FSB. Bought it in august
When I'm working on it, it becomes really slow for about 8-10 seconds and becomes all right again. it happens every 10-15 minutes.
I scanned for spyware and viruses, but my system's clean.

I've seen old pictures of the Parisian taxis pressed into service to ferry French troops to the battle of the Marne in 1914, and they are clearly right hand drive (like British cars) even though the French have driven on the left since the time of Napoleon. I've also seen a photo of one of Kaiser Wilhelm's limousines, and the same is true. Why were these early cars right-hand drive, and when did the change-over take place?

The check I wrote him 3 years ago was when I was single and was from a checking account I don't even have anymore. Since then, I've gotten married, made a career change, I'm pregnant, etc... life has changed a lot. Last night when it was time for him to pay me back for half the expense of our son's glasses & eye exam, he handed me the check from 3 years ago that he never deposited and said he wanted to subtract that amount from the total he'd pay me. The timing is terrible for me, and would leave me short. Is he being a jerk, or am I failing to make good on an old debt? Should I be held responsible for a check he couldn't deposit given three years?? He argued at length about this right in front of the kids.

I have reported the offence to the Police and have a case number. Unfortunately, my travel insurance expired last October. I have tried contacting my credit card provider to see if it will cover me but to no avail.

Any help or advice on this matter would be great.

If religion is the definitive answer to mans existance and Adam and Eve are only roughly 2,000 to 3,000 years old where did Cromagna(excuse the spelling) Man come from a couple of million years prior?There is no mention in the Bible of the Ice Age or God destroying the earth with a cold front so are these things lies?

Using "data" as a plural word is getting more and more popular. Obviously, it's the plural version of the neuter past participle of the Latin verb dare. (Dare -> datum -> data). Actually - it could also be the fem. singular... lol.

That aside - I think "data are" sounds weird and does not work well with the concept. When I think of "data," it's an amorphous blob of information. *Not* datum 1, datum 2, etc.

Here are some examples that show how strange treating data as a plural is:
The data don't support this... Shucks, it don't?
There aren't enough data to support this... Wait! Here comes another one.
Did you see these data? Yes, I saw them.

Why can't we just treat the word as a singular < data sing. fem.? After all, that would match better information (which is fem!).

The people who treat data as plural don't know anything about Latin anyway - so why do we have to use this pretentious, awkward form?

I have Biology Edexcel board exam in a few days, but I've decided that I'm happy with my original mark ( 74/100) in the paper I'm resisting. I don't want to study for it, and I'll spend my time preparing for the C2 and S1 resist. Will they consider I got 0/100 and lower my original total 241/300 from A to 167 which I think is a C? BTW what subjects do you have in January? And anyone looking forward to IGCSE November results on the 19th? What subjects did you do in that session? BTW I'm not cheating, these are all related questions.
