Intrapartum care is care during labour and birth. The care offered to you will depend on where you have the baby. However, intrapaurtum care usually consists of three aspects
1) support and encouragement for the Mother (such as massage and kind words),
2) monitoring of the well being of mother and foetus and the progress of labour.
3) pain relief (if needed/wanted)
