The Newsweek International on MSNBC has published an article about the Iraq economy. I think it highlights how poor of a job the Bush war machine is impacting their economy. Some of the highlights are that mobile phones have grown from 1.4 million to 7.1 million in just two years. Real estate is booming. The number of registered companies has grown from 8,000 just three years ago to 34,000 today. On top of that, oil revenues are expected to be $41 billion (see, it was about the oil). We've got to pull out now to reverse this trend! (Yes, this is toung and cheek). Of course the actual negative side is that unemployement is estimated to be 30-50%. Remember, Newsweek /MSNCB are no friends of the Bush administration. Interesting that they had no inkling about this before the November elections, don't you think?
