I believe it is, but for some reason it seems to standout as "acceptable". So is it and why? Why not?
I was listening to a tirade by Dr. Phil against porn, while his own daughter-in-law is a Playmate, but he never says anything about that (or at least I haven't seen it).

during an argument approx 2 years ago a female relative threatned my children. i have not spoken to her since,but my family have been putting on the pressure to make it up with her.

she did come to my house but i told her to **** off and never come to my house again - and i ******* well mean it

my family want me to put her comments down to jealousy as she has lost about 4 or 5 -personally i think she aborted them

she is a very manipulative person and a constant liar and an attention seeker, she talks about things that children shouldnt hear in front of them - i wouldnt want a stranger like that around them,so why should i accept that from a family member

we have never been close and to be honest my life has been better without her -

i know that it is upsetting for my parents,but i wouldnt feel that my children would be safe aroud her - she may act on her threat to harm them

what would you do?

What do you do when your in laws are out to get you? And is subjecting you to their negativity and accusing you of doing things that you do not do? I can't even talk innocently to old friends who are male, because they consider it cheating and because of my life prior to marriage.. whatever they think, it's just not the case. So my phone is tapped and they get into my emails! I'm not doing anything wrong, but it seems like they are dying for me to make one bad move. What control freaks. many people bring in things from home and decorate their desks with all sorts. I'm sitting at someone's desk (I'm a temp) and I can see 4 pictures of cats, a 'special mum' ornament, photos of the entire family and other fluffy toys. I just can't bring myself to feel at home at work at all. My desk would be so boring and plain as anything. Does anyone else feel like this, or do you in fact like a little taste of home at work?
