I've never been to New York City, but I've read a little about the subway system because I like trains. From what I've read, the current system is horrendously inadequate but the only talk of upgrading is the 2nd Ave line. From my reading I see that it thrived pretty well when it was owned by two different competing companies. Because of the Great Depression the government took over the system. Now that the Depression has been over for "a couple" of years shouldn't it be returned civilian control? It seems that since the government took over the system hasn't been upgraded or expanded at all. I welcome any comments about the size, capacity, utilization, and so on about the subway system.

I have 8 years of experience in Software Development and related fields (Consulting, Web Development, Windows/Unix Software, etc...) - I have worked with more than 50 clients from about 5 nations in the past, receiving only superior feedback. I hold a customer satisfaction ratio of 9.58 out of 10 (best) at RentACoder.com.

Also, I have on-site experience in the U.S., U.K and Europe.

Additionally, I have launched a couple of products on my own which have been featured in magazines and on numerous blogs.

Currently, I am self-employed and I am planning on setting a fixed hourly rate. I was trying to figure out the best, justified rate for my situation and found that $60/hour would be ok.

Am I charging too much, too less, or how can I support my decision? (I have gotten the numbers from various salary surveys and reports and put myself into the average category).

Your help is very much appreciated!

I am pregnant. The scan says that the baby was concieved on 18th August, but i was raped on the 20th August. however the rapist used a condom, is it my husbands or the rapists baby & should i tell my family that there is a chance the baby might not be my husbands??

And how much does it matter, if it does? What DO these guys know about? --Where is their expertise that qualifies them to be where they are? Are they just luffing along, having a good time, waiting for another 9/11 to perk up and start paying attention again?

Is there a way to return land , property and goverment back to the Greek Cypriot people who lost it to the invading Turks in 1974 .Turkey is now illegaly pushing for foreign investers to buy up land and property which originaly belonged to Greek Cypriots in 1974 , thus creating an even more difficult situation .
