How do I ask a girl to be my girl friend? What should I say? And how should I say it? What if I'm not confident to say it face-to-face?

Yeah. Well I'm in grade 10, and I live in Canada, and was wondering if high school kids in the USA learn about Canada and how it was founded and stuff. Socials ten is basicly only about that and I got to say, it's not very exciting. I've always wondered if the people down south have to go through the boringness of Canadian history too or if we're just alone in the torture.

Ok this has been driving me crazy for a long time. There is a movie that has to be at least 10 years old and I don't remember all the particulars but someone has been receiving threatening letters or something with a typewriter that has a distinctive way it types a certain letter. --SPOILER ALERT---Anyway, the main character finds a typewriter in a closet at the end, types the distinctive letter (it might be a "J") with it and figures out it is the typewriter that the villian has been using and then realizes it was her boyfriend or some other man close to her that was typing the letters all along. I know that's not much of a description but does anyone know what movie I'm talking about?

I was involved in a abusive relationship, my boyfriend forced me to get pregnant, and tried to kill me once and forced me to do alot, he had hit me before and i was terrified of him, but i could not leave him, since he threatend my parents lives.... Anyhow i got pregnant, and i l left him bcoz it just got to much, i had an abortion done the 2nd of Sep, it was terrible, he said he will get me one day if i have the baby and he will harm me for leaving, so ja, i still cry at night, because im against abortion, big time and i had one done, and it kills me inside...i know what i have done is wrong, but if have not been in a similar situation then you will not understand you might even blame me.... I am sorry...

In movies and even ice skating and real life, guys are seen many times lifting and carrying girls, not because they are demanded but just for fun it seems.I'm only in high school, and for no reason at my guy friends will just come behind me and pick me up for no reason. When I was sitting in my guy friend's desk, he wanted to sit there so he simply picked up the ENTIRE desk (the chair I was sitting in was connected to it) and moved me across the room to free his spot. He could have just asked me to move. This is not only done with teens, grown up guys will run and pick up their wives when they have good news or something. Do y'all enjoy doing this? Why or why not ? Why do guys enjoying lifting girls in the first place? Do you pick up girls alot?

For the most part, I'm not a very negative person, I don't really even come across as feeling this way - but deep inside I have this nagging sort of feeling of looking down upon myself. I met this guy a little over a year ago and we dated for 8 months so I guess we were in a relationship but things had gotten too intense and his expectations were very high, I was very busy with school, work, and being a single mom, we also live two hours away each other, we remained friends and talked occasionally. There were hurt feelings he basically resented me. This past summer I was accepted to a nursing school near where he lived and I thought maybe we could start over with me living closer but I feel like he is using me since I have been here. We are talking but it is not consistent, its off and on. When were together its all good, we have fun, we have good sex but then sometimes he doesn't return my phone calls, not all the time but once is enough! I dont think that he trusts me. I have told him how I feel. It has not made a difference, I was just over his house 2 days ago. Now he is not calling me back, but when he does call he acts like nothings wrong.
