For the most part, I'm not a very negative person, I don't really even come across as feeling this way - but deep inside I have this nagging sort of feeling of looking down upon myself. I almost feel disconnected from my own self at times (as crazy as it sounds), and I find it hard to just relax and be comfortable in my own skin. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I already take fish oil, flax oil and omega 3 fatty-acids. It's not a depression, but more of just a slight feeling of being disconnected with myself as of recently. It's more of an overly-self concious thing if you know what I mean.

Many people live out of what feels like a "false sense of self." If you are young, you may grow out of it with greater life experience. If you still feel this way, seek therapy because this is a common problem with which competent therapists are familiar and can help. You do not have to always live with these feelings. You then can learn your own sense of value. I wish you well.

See if your job has an Employee Assistance Program, where you might be able to have an initial telephone assessment. They can also assist you in finding low-cost to reasonable counseling that you may be able to get through your health care program. This isn't crazy, it just sounds like there are some unresolved issues, or the beginning of a mild stress or anxiety disorder that you need some assistance with. In the meantime, also try to get involved in other things perhaps with your community, or with groups involving some interests that you may have like theater. There's nothing like getting involved and having others take your mind off of you or having others tell you how wonderful you are for a job well done on some project.

Sounds like you have depresson. Don't get caught in the precription trap, with all the bad side effects. See a natural doctor<(holistic) and take supplements. Fish oil has many good efffects on the mind. Check into it.
