In movies and even ice skating and real life, guys are seen many times lifting and carrying girls, not because they are demanded but just for fun it seems.I'm only in high school, and for no reason at my guy friends will just come behind me and pick me up for no reason. When I was sitting in my guy friend's desk, he wanted to sit there so he simply picked up the ENTIRE desk (the chair I was sitting in was connected to it) and moved me across the room to free his spot. He could have just asked me to move. This is not only done with teens, grown up guys will run and pick up their wives when they have good news or something. Do y'all enjoy doing this? Why or why not ? Why do guys enjoying lifting girls in the first place? Do you pick up girls alot?

It is territorial. Guys like to lift their girls because it gives them a sense of love for that person. Bet that guy liked you or something! They want to touch you and care about you and you are easy to carry when you do not struggle. Unless the guy is weak....
In general, guys just really like to show their muscular strength, and who better to show to then the girl they like! lol

Guys lift women for two reasons. One for an expression of love, the other to intimidate the opposite sex. I think they generally dont like lifting anybody for the latter. But yes.., as an expression of love it is liked by most of them .

Yes and know I guess it's like a continuation of a hug you just naturally pick them up. But I don't go around looking to physcially pick up a girl.

I really think that a lot of this boils down to the guy wanting to show he is strong and powerful. An ego thing, you know how tender the male ego is by now.

I enjoy it. I like the feeling of closeness. Its not a macho thing for me. I just love the contact

It's to show their strength, especially if you're not over weight. I tell my boyfriend to pick me up because it makes me feel sexy and thin; especially when I feel my fat A-ss need to work out (which I do...). Now he automatically picks me up, kisses me, and gets "the job" done that way... I love it!
