Ok this has been driving me crazy for a long time. There is a movie that has to be at least 10 years old and I don't remember all the particulars but someone has been receiving threatening letters or something with a typewriter that has a distinctive way it types a certain letter. --SPOILER ALERT---Anyway, the main character finds a typewriter in a closet at the end, types the distinctive letter (it might be a "J") with it and figures out it is the typewriter that the villian has been using and then realizes it was her boyfriend or some other man close to her that was typing the letters all along. I know that's not much of a description but does anyone know what movie I'm talking about?

Yes...what the previous poster said...it is Jagged Edge...but I thought it was the letter "t"...because when Glenn Close found the typewriter...she typed "He is innocent" and the "t" was raised or lowered...

The bad guy was Jeff Bridges...

It kinda sounds like, "Touched by Evil" (1997). It starred Paula Abdul who was raped, and the rapist turns out to be her new bf. It seems there is a typewriter scene in it towards the end.

It *is* Jagged Edge, but I'm not so sure Jeff Bridges was the killer. I think it was the locker room attendant.
