oil went sky high after israel and hezbollah started fighting, and now at the mere THREAT of possible war {iran} oil spirals out of control

My question is: Why didn't oil have a huge jump during the gulf war of 1991, especially considering that the 4th and 2nd most exporting nations were burning their oil wells.

there was a jump in prices, but never to the $30 increases I hear about today if we fight Iran

your own T.V. channel, what would you like it to be (a news channel, a soap channel, a sports one, etc.)? Why?
And would you have your own show there? How it will be entitled?

My wife has been hinting around that she wants, "Something that goes from 0 to 200 really fast."

I was thinking that would have to be a scale?!?

Where can I find a nice one?

As one goes around the world, the time changes. Where the point that it meets and what are the two time zones on either side of that point is what I'm curious about.

My mother passed away yesterday morning. I have to notify my employer that I may be out from work for at least this upcoming week. Is it okay to e-mail my boss with the news or should it be a phone call?

I'm 30 years old and facing possible hip replacement due to a malformed right hip joint at birth. I had hip reconstruction as a toddler and after that was quite mobile but with a bit of an unusual gait. I was very active in highschool and college and enjoyed running and kickboxing. About three years ago I began to feel some symptoms of arthritis which seems to be a somewhat strange disease because some days my pain is a level 8 or 9 and other days I feel fine. My activities are much more limited now because of that. I have seen a couple of orthopedists the past three years and both are well thought of in their field and both say that I am definitely facing replacement. People say that someone my age should put it off as long as possible and part of me feels that too but at the same time if the surgery will improve my gait and get rid of the pain then I want to have the courage to do it. I'm conflicted and scared about all that's involved in this major surgery!

As more developped is a country, as more educated are their inhabitants, the most average of atheist you find. Why this does not happen in America?. Is there a divergence between the intelectual american elite, who is mostly atheist, and the general population?.
