He is having separation anxiety which is common in infants. Try to find something for him to do when you lay him down in his bed. A toy or a bubble machine that sings on the side of the crib. or his favorite toy. He needs to learn to fall asleep on his own. Leave his door open and just pop your head in perodically just to let him know that you are still around. Will take some time but he will get past this.

Do you give him the bottle while he is in the high chair? Maybe if you have some soft music playing in his room, he will not hear you leave. If you hold him to give him the bottle, why not feed it to him while in a rocking chair near his bed? What a tough situation for you! Ask your pediatrician for some advice, too. Good luck, you must be so tired - poor thing.

My little boy loves his cot! He has been in it on the grounds that being one week previous. I have no issues of him sound asleep in it. whether, he very right now have been given right into a habitual of feeding for the period of the day and sound asleep at nighttime. (confident i understand that i'm very fortunate). i think of that area of the success substitute into right down to the cot as I used it for him to nap in for the period of the day besides as at nighttime time and in basic terms lifting him out after he had slept. one difficulty that my son does like, that's against the SIDS rules, is he does choose to be swaddled. i think of that it supplies him re-insurance. i stumble on that interior the day, i will swaddle him for a snooze and at nighttime time I positioned him in his cot 'feet to foot' along with his blankets and then pop an spread out muslin sq. on the suitable of his head (not over his face) this seems to recreate the swaddle result and as quickly as he has long previous to sleep, i'm able to flow the muslin faraway from his head.

Use a night light and try putting something of yours (a blouse that you've worn for a couple hours might work) in his cot....that worked for me. A tape of his favourite lullaby playing softly on a loop nearby should work (especially if yours is the voice on the tape).

Have you tried to lay him down and set a pillow next to his side or a stuffed animal and that way he may think that it is you laying next to him. I had this problem and I did do the pillow thing and it worked most of the time. The other times he was just in the mood for his mommy next to him .
Good luck

It's okay. Mine were much older than that and still slept in our room. And my second to last still comes into my bed in the middle of the night. You know what I say.....enjoy it. Trust me, by the time they start dating, it'll be over :)

You need to stop having him fall asleep in his high chair.
If might work if you give him his bottle while he is in his crib.
