The correct procedure would be to keep with avg running. Download Avast anti virus and 'save' to a folder on your computer (Remember where) . Disconnect from the internet, remove avg, reboot computer, install avast anti virus. Reconnect to internet.

Ive used AVG for years and by no ability had any problems( it somewhat is the unfastened version too) in basic terms you may run a test each now n then, and dont do too lots that would get virus's- visting dodgy web content, downloading with Lime twine n bittotrent etc Having 2 Antivirus' on the comparable pc can conflict with one yet another and gradual the workstation down alot. as the two are doing the comparable job on the comparable time, so which you may desire to do away with Norton formerly you upload anyhting else. And confident Norton is quite appaling, it crippled our previous workstation worse than any virus could.

Yes, you must uninstall one before you download another. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Find AVG or Grisoft, however it is shown, click on it, then click in the right corner to remove. When it is finished uninstalling, close Control Panel and restart your computer. Then download and install Avast.
